Forum For Fairness In Education
|
A Crusade Against Corruption - Unmatched In History...
The forum was formally launched on 29th September, 1995 and the printed circular letter in English, Hindi, Marathi & Gujarati, dated 2nd Oct. 1995, Gandhi Jayanti Day, was mailed across the country to 14000 well meaning people high-lighting the ills in education. Public awareness seminars at Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar were held. With the generous donation of Rs.75000/- By Smt. Kirandevi Saraf Trust We had organised an Essay Competition for Junior College, Degree College and Post Graduate students on review of Implementation of Reservation Policy. In due course the Forum President - Bhagvanji Raiyani, addressed several meetings of educationalist, students, parents and rotarians and to-day educational complaints whatsoever anywhere from all over Maharashtra are directly sent to Forum and copies to the concerned authorities or vice versa for solutions. We take up the matter with the authorities and try to resolve the grievences failing which only we file the proceedings in Bombay High Court against the government and the institutions involved and in most cases we get favourable orders. But the movement couldn't take off elsewhere except in Mumbai because of the most difficult nature of Forum's working. Today your Forum is firmly saddled in its place and is looked upon as the only organisation in whole of Maharashtra and perhaps the only of its kind in our country which can effectively represent the educational irregularities before the government and the judiciary for fruitful results.
